I would like to dedicate this article to all of the women who became mothers lately.
This year you will celebrate your first mother’s day and I hope for many years to come.
Being a new mom means you have to care for someone other than yourself but it doesn’t mean you don’t have to care for yourself.
I have collected a few tips that will help you cope with the first months of being a mom:
Take time for yourself – At first you will be busy with learning the basic care of your baby so it is normal that you won’t have time but after you get a master try to take time for yourself doing the things that you enjoyed before you became a mom.
Ask for help – You are not superwoman and you are just recovering from labor. Do not expect to do all by your own! Ask for help.
Rest as much as you can– Try to rest or sleep whenever your baby sleeps. All other things will wait for you!
Do not worry your baby will admire you because you are his mom!!!
For this special Mother’s Day I baked healthy date cookies ( with butter, are they healthy? No, but they are sure yummy!!)
Try to implement one of my tips, take time for yourself , do whatever you love or join me for coffee.
If you are after delivery I suggest you also read more tips that will help you recover more quickly and feel more calmer.
Tell me what helped you through first months of being a mom?
